Hi, I opened Hartley's cafe in August 2011.  I wanted to open a cafe were you would receive a warm welcome, in a relaxed atmosphere were all the food is freshly prepared.

All our meat is sourced from local butchers, with the local market providing us with fresh vegetables and fish, and we use local farms for our eggs. Our menu is adaptable to the customers needs and is available to be collected or delivered with our take away service. I bake all my own delicious cakes daily and have a wide variety of teas on offer. Hartley's is also a licensed cafe with a variety of alcoholic beverages at great prices. I wanted children to feel comfortable in the cafe too, so I provide books and colouring pencils for them plus their own menu.

 In early 2012, I opened Hartley's Traditional Sweet Shop in Littleborough. This created great enjoyment reminiscing about the sweets of my past with just about every sweet and chocolate bar imaginable. I also included a milk bar in the shop were customers could 'build - your - own' milkshake. I then began supplying weddings, catering to couples who desire sweet displays, table decorations and favours, offering an alternative approach to the special day. ​



September 14th 2012  saw the opening of Hartley's Bistro on Friday and Saturday evenings. I chose to bring in the amazing Mark York, an award winning chef from Manchester. I wanted the Bistro to be a place were you could have a lovely meal with fine wine or cocktails. As there are only seven tables seating twenty-one people, we are providing a special, intimate atmosphere - great for those romantic meals.



In the evening the entire Bistro is available to be booked for parties or your Christmas meal.
